It was a great honor to be chosen to appear on Simply Quilts. Episode #827 first aired on January 22, 2003, and has been rerun several times. Below is a picture of Alex and me on the set after we finished taping, as well as a picture of Fiesta de los Chiles hanging on the set.
The answer to the most frequently asked question is: Yes, Alex is as nice as she seems! She and the rest of the crew make everything easy--especially if you follow their advice (LOL).
My book, Dresden Plates of Distinction, was featured on the show and I explained my techniques for individually fussy cutting the blades, hand piecing and appliqueing the plates, and setting the top together.
